  • Description

    Origin:
Produced in the Kakheti region of Georgia, the Karalashvili Winery has been crafting wines since 1396, using the qvevri method passed down through generations. The Kisi grapes thrive in the fertile soils of Kakheti, known for producing wines with aromatic complexity.

    Grape Variety:
100% Kisi, a native Georgian white grape that is well-suited for qvevri aging, bringing out notes of ripe stone fruits and a distinctive floral character.

    Taste Profile:
This wine has a deep amber color with aromas of dried apricotshoney, and herbal notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied with subtle tannins from the qvevri aging and a long, smooth finish. The extended skin contact in the qvevri gives the wine a layered, complex taste.

    Craftsmanship:
The Kisi grapes are fermented and aged in large clay qvevris, an ancient Georgian technique that allows the wine to mature naturally with the grape skins. This process results in a deep amber hue and a wine with rich texture and complexity.

    Serving Suggestions:
Enjoy with roasted meatsaged cheeses, or traditional Georgian dishes. Best served at 12-14°C to bring out its full aromatic profile.
